Buch
Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. In Hebrew. 4 pages. 198 x 142 mm. Full leather binding. Vinograd: London #355. WorldCat: Libraries worldwide that own item: 1. Two printed letters to Sir Moses Montefiore who is about to embark for Damascus to help the Jewish victims of a blood libel there. It was to be delivered to the authorities in Damascus, assuring them that Jews are prohibited from using blood for any religious purpose whatsoever. The second letter is by the Sephardic Rabbi David Meldola. One of the paradoxes of the vile blood libel against the Jews, which led to the murder of countless innocent Jews by Christians, sometimes by devout, church going ones, is that Christians, figuratively speaking, drink human blood (of the devout Judean Pharisee Jew, Jesus) every time they take the sacrament or Eucharist. They also practice symbolic cannibalism when they ingest the wafer.
